Students

Students in grades 6-8 are invited to register for the Expanding Your Horizons Conference. Registered participants will participate in two workshops, a career panel session and visit the UCF labs at the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers. Conference fees also include lunch and a t-shirt. Lunch will be a Chick-fil-A sandwich, chips, a soda, and a cookie.

All new 2009 Workshops will be announced in January.

2008 Workshops:

"Water" You Waiting For?

Build a water filtration system with the help of Central Florida Environmental Engineers. You won't be wasting any time during this workshop. While you wait for your water to settle, you'll also be meeting Industrial Engineers and finding out what exciting things they do!

May the "Force" Be With You!

During this workshop, you'll learn about center of gravity. See if you can solve the brainteaser, make a butterfly light on your finger, and understand why some things tip and others don't. Meet women engineers who calculate forces in their careers in the construction industry and the space community.
